Lost is the story of 48 air crash survivors
on a Pacific island

OUT of the blackness, the first thing Jack Shephard senses is pain, then burning sun and screams. With a rush comes the horrible awareness that the plane he was travelling on, tore apart in mid-air and crashed on a Pacific island. Lost every Sunday at 9 p.m. on Star World, is the story of 48 air-crash survivors, who scavenge what they can from the plane for their survival. Some panic. Some pin their hopes on rescue. A few find inner strength they never knew they had. These people must work together against the cruel weather and harsh terrain if they want to stay alive. But the island holds many secrets, including the intense howls of the mysterious creatures stalking the jungle; in this edge-of-the-seat drama. The drama series mixes suspense, death and fear and takes you to new levels of chills and thrills.

Doctor of comedy

The winner of five back-to-back Emmy Awards and a record total of 37 Emmy Awards, Frasier — the comedy with brains, is back with all-new episodes weeknights at 8.p.m on RX channel. Frasier, a psychiatrist and a radio jockey, is an invariable victim of a comedy of errors. Things just get worse when his father Martin, an ex-cop, is injured in the line of duty and comes with his dog Eddie to live with Frasier bringing havoc into his life of fine cigars, aesthetically pleasing, expensive furniture and haute cuisine. The other characters include the beautiful physical therapist-cum-housekeeper Daphne, Frasier’s pompous psychiatrist brother Niles and Roz, Frasier’s radio show producer. This must-watch slapstick comedy is smart, witty, sophisticated and urbane. — NF
