Scrubs is a madcap medical drama about the lives of doctors and nurses

THIS is a comical medical series showing the drama that goes on behind-the-scenes in a hospital. Scrubs every Tuesday at 9.30 P.M. on Star World revolves around the lives of medics at the Sacred Heart Hospital in San DiFrangeles, California. There is nothing sacred about the hospital and its staff of goofball doctors and nurses who seem to be on a constant high.

Viewers can catch the all-new eighth season, which starts with Dr. John "J.D." Dorian trying to balance his professional life, where he has to deal with a batch of annoying new interns, with his personal life where he is trying to rebuild his relationship with Dr Elliot Red. Former Friends star Courtney Cox (who played Monica Geller) joins the cast as Dr Taylor Maddox, the hospital’s new chief of medicine. Although most of the doctors approve of the changes Dr Maddox makes to the hospital, there are some, who are convinced she’s just as evil as her predecessor Dr Bob Kelso, who still hangs around because he was promised free doughnuts for life at the hospital. In parts the series does have its serious and poignant moments but overall it remains a madcap comedy with its hilarious group of interns that includes an Indian freeloader (Aziz Ansari). — NF
