New investigation team to be sent to US

The Centre will form a new probe team that will get access to Laskhar-e-Toiba (LeT) operative David Coleman Headley and probe his role in Mumbai attacks. “All bottlenecks (for access to Headley) have been removed and we have a way forward.

30-month jail for former IAS officer
Bikramjit Singh Chandigarh, May 1
Special CBI Judge Darshan Singh here today sentenced former Punjab IAS officer Bikramjit Singh to two-and-a-half year imprisonment for amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. A  fine of Rs 30,000 was also slapped on him.

US, UK issue fresh travel alerts 
Warn of imminent terror attacks in New Delhi

The US, UK and Australia today issued fresh advisories, warning of "imminent" terror attacks in New Delhi, particularly in market places like Connaught Place, Greater Kailash and Chandni Chowk, which are "attractive targets" for terrorist groups.
