Television IT
is an American criminal comedy-drama television series that has
enthralled viewers with its quick-witted dialogues and racy plots.
Psych from Monday to Thursday at 11 P.M. on Star
World revolves around Shawn Spencer (James Roday), a young crime
consultant, for the Santa Barbara Police Department whose
"heightened observational skills" and impressive
detective instincts allow him to convince people that he solves
cases with psychic abilities. The truth is that Spencer has
developed a keen eye for detail after being instructed by his
police officer father to note even the minutest details of a crime
scene’s surroundings. But nobody is ready to believe that it is
his keen observation that results in him cracking cases that defy
logic. His colleagues are puzzled by the uncanny way he solves
crimes. They are not altogether convinced about his psychic
powers. But they have no choice but to assign him to tough cases
that he solves for an ever-suspicious, but grudgingly impressed,
police force. The detective serial centres on quirky, intelligent
characters by mixing comedy with crime and features a somewhat
eccentric lead character with absolutely no psychic abilities but
pure common sense. Foot-tapping
show This reality television show will
have you tapping your feet. Step It Up and Dance on Mondays
at 6 P.M. on AXN is a dance show that gives an opportunity to some
of the most talented dancers. Participants, who are professional
dancers, display their skill in this dramatic series where
everyone has to master different styles, which culminate in a
final showdown. Apart from the hip-hop, funk and other modern
dance styles there’s also plenty of old-fashioned dancing
ranging from ballet to jazz and from Broadway to the burlesque.
The show starts with 10 dancers but week after week one
participant is whittled out leaving just one dancer in the end,
who is the ultimate winner. The prize money is a cool $100,000!
Hosted by the glamorous Elizabeth Berkley, the dance show has a
passionate fan following and has spawned a slew of copycats. —
