Recently, five cops were suspended by the Maharashtra Government for attending a Christmas party thrown by the Chota Rajan gang. It is not easy to bring out the truth, as both the parties are highly undependable though they are fully dependent on each other. Both survive on each other’s existence. If crime disappears, then the police will be reduced to mere guides in khaki to direct traffic and people on the roads. If the police stops cooperating with the underworld, the dons will be on the roads. "Bhai sahib, don chaar din se bhukha hai, koi pachass ya sau rupaye de do." But even if the poor policemen had gone to the gangsters’ party, what’s wrong in it? Did the government get angry because the dons hadn’t invited a few ministers over? Or maybe the policemen had attended the party in uniform, which was against the conduct. The safest thing would have been if the policemen had invited the gangsters over to jail for celebrations. A film actor is said to have got a threat from a bhai (underworld don). He informed the police. Two policemen were stationed outside his flat round the clock. The actor again got a call, "Do you think these policemen can save you? Pay up one khoka (Rs 1 crore) or get ready to be eliminated." The actor started trembling, "B b b b... bhai, where to deliver the m m m... money?" Bhai said, "Hand it over to the policemen guarding you. It will reach me."
