Chandigarh, January 12
Problems for Sacred Heart School are far from over. For less than a week before the meeting of “ The Christians and Minority Community” has been called to show solidarity with the school, two city residents have moved court, claiming “a communal colour is being given to the ongoing controversy”.

The controversy being the recent inquiry conducted by the UT administration and the subsequent report submitted holding the school guilty of wrongly expelling Ruchika Girhotra.

It was submitted in the plaint that during the inquiry, the role of the principal of the school was also investigated.

In a plaint filed today, two residents, Raj Kishore and Anil Kumar, have sought a stay against holding of a public meeting on January 17 under order 39 Rule 1 and 2 read with Section 151 of the CPC.

It has been alleged in the plaint that the meeting was being called by the Bishop of Shimla-Chandigarh Diocese of Christians and people of the minority community to show their solidarity with the school and level allegations against the UT administration of falsely implicating the school.

The case filed by advocates Dalip Mahajan, Rohit and Ashok Arora will come up for hearing tomorrow.

It has been further claimed in the plaint that the above said meeting was nothing but an act to give it a “communal colour”. Such an act is also an attempt to overawe the inquiry being held in the matter by the UT administration.

A decree for the grant of stay against the holding of public meeting at the church in Sector 19 was sought.
