Ultraviolet charts the exploits of a secret paramilitary unit that saves the world from a vicious vampire conspiracy

The vampires are ready to take on the world and eliminate the human race. Ultraviolet every Saturday at 10.30 P.M. on AXN charts the exploits of a secret paramilitary unit that must save the world from this vicious vampire conspiracy. Set in the late 21st century, a subculture of humans have been genetically modified by a vampire-like disease, giving them enhanced speed, incredible stamina and acute intelligence. As they are set apart from "normal" and "healthy" humans, the earth is pushed to the brink of worldwide civil war aimed at the destruction of the "diseased" population. In the middle of this crossed-fire is an infected beautiful woman Ultraviolet, who finds herself protecting a nine-year-old boy, marked for death by the government as he is believed to be a threat to humans. Produced with an undercurrent of dark humour, Ultraviolet stars Jack Davenport (The Pirates of the Caribbean) as Detective Michael Colefield, a cop who accidentally stumbles into the world of man-vampires when his partner disappears. Then starts the riveting sci-fi tale that blends reality and fiction with amazing effectiveness.
