Eco-friendly Diwali

Diwali is on its way

Everyone is happy and gay

Decorating their houses

And cleaning away all dirt and grime

But when we burn crackers, we spread dirt

Apart from this, from these we might get hurt

It also spreads pollution

To stop its spread

I am unable to find a solution

I can only warn my friends

To save environment

Sad that everyone cares for that smile

That they get after burning crackers

Bought with money in piles

Can’t we celebrate Diwali

In an eco-friendly way?

Burning less crackers

Would not darken up our day

Take this matter seriously

And think of the poor children

Who work for our smiles

in cracker factories

Let’s save this environment

With just one decision of ours

Let’s celebrate an eco-friendly Divali
