Consent matters

Navjot Singh Sidhu apparently doesn’t seem to be very happy with his party, the BJP. The Congress has also given him signals to come to its fold. One of his confidants asked Navjot, "Bhaji, if you really want to leave the party, there is nothing like the present. You simply praise Jinnah and then leave the rest to the party."

So now Navjot has started dusting history textbook of his school time to refresh his knowledge about Jinnah.

I don’t know how far Jinnah was instrumental in Indo-Pak division, but his ghost is certainly creating cracks in the already fragile BJP. We have heard umpteen numbers of times the role of a ‘foreign hand’, but a foreign ghost has been blamed for our internal matters for the first time. I think it should be investigated by some tantrik as to why more and more leaders are being haunted to sing hymns about Jinnah.

In Gujrat Modi has banned Jaswant’s book eulogising Jinnah. I think the BJP should call another chintan baithak to bring out a do’s and don’ts list for those party workers who want to write any document, paper or book, especially historical.

A young, new party worker was writing a letter when a colleague suggested, "Get it approved by party president Rajnath Singh before you post it."

A couple of days the young fellow told his colleague, "I acted on your advice and had it read from Rajnath Singh to cover any risk and he okayed the content." His colleague asked, "Who were you writing the letter, to by the way?"

"To my girlfriend", he replied.
