Parents of missing boy suspect ragging, sodomy
Rajpura, August 12 Mohan Lal Sharma, father of the boy, said the clothes, shoes, purse and mobile phone of his son, Sahil, had been found in the car of one of the boys, who accompanied him after the college. “We are going to lodge a formal complaint against the boys who accompanied my son. Only they know what happened to Sahil,” said the visibly upset father of the boy. He added that after going through the statements of the nearby villagers, who saw Sahil standing in front of a car, it seemed that he had been told to run in front of the moving car without clothes. “Since my child was the youngest among the all other six boys, he could have been harassed by the other boys,” said the other family members of the boy near the Bhakhra-Narwana branch. He also said it had been astonishing that the keypad of Sahil’s phone was found locked as he had never locked his cell phone and it remained open all the time. The relatives said they had engaged few divers, who had been searching for the missing boy. So far, they have searched an area of five kilometres in the river, but found nothing. The divers assured to continue search till tomorrow. “If they fail to trace the body tomorrow, then we will have to go up to Mandoli Kalan village or Jansua near Ambala, where iron gates are installed in the river,” said the wailing relatives of the boy. DSP Rashpal Singh Hara, who reached the spot, assured the family members of initiating an action in this regard after lodging an FIR. |
