FOUR dysfunctional men and one car are just the right ingredients for a comedy. Carpoolers airing every Friday at 9 pm on Star World into its third season in America has a global fan following. The show revolves around the lives of four men, who drive to office in one car from their suburban homes. Dougie is a newlywed on an extended honeymoon, Gracen a psychologist, is always pointing out others’ mistakes, Laird, a divorced dentist, is a self-proclaimed ladies’ man always on the prowl and Aubrey is a henpecked husband and father. The four guys, who are poles apart, are constantly at each other’s throats after getting into weird situations. Yet they bond together in the end. Dancing stars Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa — Dancing with the Stars is back with its third season on Sony Entertainment Television. On air every Friday and Saturday at 9 pm, the show again brings together personalities from different walks of life such as sports, films, fashion and music to perform with professional dance partners. Some of the celebrities include former cricketer Mohinder Amarnath, magician Ugesh Sarcar, starlet Monica Bedi, musician Anand Raj Anand and the Punjabi Indian rapper Hard Kaur. The show has an all-woman judges panel including Saroj Khan, Juhi Chawla and Vaibhavi Merchant. The hosts are Shweta Tiwari and Shiv Pandit.— NF
