Rivers & Life—Ganges on Tuesday at 9 pm on Nat Geo traverses the journey of this mighty river. It showcases how the holy river became a source of cleansing of sins and a place of purification. It is an amazing journey that starts from Gaumukh in the Himalayas through the cities of Haridwar, Allahabad and Varanasi onto where the river meets the sea. The film shows priests and pilgrims, dolphins and fishermen, whose livelihood depends on the Ganges and also villagers whose lives have been destroyed by the havoc caused by the floodwaters year after year. Over the years the Ganges has become so polluted that it is dangerous to bathe in it let alone to drink from it. Though it may be immortal and invincible but can it survive the chemical dumping and the demands of a rapidly developing India? Practical solutions have to be thought up that can save this benign and massive spiritual and economic resource for future generations. Chinese capers One of the unlikely
causalities of the 26/11 Mumbai attack has been the participants of The
Comedy Circus on Sony. The incident has seen the exit of the team of

good TRPs thanks to the line up of celebrities. The show has various
celebrities and comedians in various episodes, including cricketer
Yuvraj Singh and Ali Sagar. Other celebrities who are a part of the show
include`A0Ashutosh Kaushik, Shweta Tiwari, Sambhavna Seth and Ahsaan
