The rising popularity of the small screen stars can rival that of the Bollywood stars. But what do they do in their spare time?
Soap queen Ekta Kapoor, who has launched the careers of many TV actors, says she enjoys watching soaps as much as she likes making them unlike some of her leading stars who confess they have no time to watch television. However, there are others who like to watch as much TV as they can. So what are their favourite programmes? Supriya Pilgaonkar, the bahu at odds with her mother-in-law in Tu Tu Main Main, loves watching shows like The Apprentice, Trendz and Amazing Race. "Frankly, I don't watch soaps," she confesses. Her husband, Sachin, former film star and anchor of TV shows, likes to watch only quiz shows. Whether they are in Hindi or English is not important. What matters is the content and the contest. The original Mihir of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Amarr Upadhyay says his favourite show on the small screen is Fear Factor on AXN.

Very few TV stars confess to watching Indian shows and serials. But Iqbal Khan of Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai is candid about liking Yes Boss on Sab TV and Forces of Nature on the National Geographic Channel. of reality shows. She enjoys the Oprah Winfrey Show. Her
husband, Manish, does not watch any soaps. His favourites are Desperate
Housewives and The Bold and the Popular TV artist Aman Verma, who has done prominent roles in soaps like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bhau Thi, Virasat, and Sujata, loves to watch Friends and Mr Bean on Pogo. The shows he doesn't like to watch are in which stars. — NF
