Rhyme Time
Cry of a lass

Boys, please don’t demand dowry

I also want to marry

Marriage is a union of two souls

On this occasion why do you want only money bowls

Your greed is making this holy union a business

Unaccomplishment of your

demands causes a great fuss

You are the cause of female foeticide

Why are you so inhumane and blind?

We are now self-dependent

Living in the four walls of home

is an old trend

Mend your fault

Heed to my cry
So we can together say we are proud be Indians.

Violence in Orissa

Long ago, there was a time

When all continents were one

No Hindu, no Christian, no Muslim was there

They had a different mind

In no religion or community they believed

But they believed that we were all alike

They were ours ancestors

But unlike them we are killing

Our own brothers

Is this right?

O’ poor people

At least have fear of that might

Whom you think

Is deaf and blind

Or when he opened his eyes and ears

And answered the prayer of his child

Then only you will realise

What you did was not right
