RHYME TIME

Alien attack

I was flying in the sky

Up, up, so high

Going beyond the Earth’s surface

Land looming behind like a mace

I waved ‘hello’ to Mr Moon

Pluto dear, I’ll be there soon

Just as I was passing by Mars

I heard the shout of "charge"

Startled, I turned around

To my horror, I found

Hundreds of aliens coming towards me

Like a swarm of killer bees

I don’t know

Should I laugh, should I cry?

Or like a coward should I fly?

Should I shout or scream?

In the end I do nothing

After all it’s just a dream

Dearest mum

She is kind

With love, she does us bind

She makes many a sacrifice in her life

In the kitchen she is works with a knife

She works in the office during the day

And gets some pay

When she comes back from work

She gets me a perk

She cooks dishes

As per everyone’s wishes

In the evening, when we play and relax

She makes for us some tasty snacks

Her day is busy like a bee

But she does everything with a glee

After dinner when we go to bed

She clears up everything and gets ready for the day ahead

She doesn’t have summer holidays as we do

I love my mother as she loves me too
