Rhyme Time
Light of love

In the human heart, god ignited a flame

"Never let it douse", he said then

With this flame of love, can one

easily tame

The bravest and mightiest of all men

A little spark of love, in thorns makes flowers bloom

A drop of this virtue yields mirth

In the desert of gloom

A stroke of its tenderness paints frowns into smiles

A note of its mellow song provides the energy to walk an extra mile

Love is the cause of all joy on earth

It is a bounty, more valuable than a pearl

With the power of love, thou shall rule the world

Koirobi Biswas, VII-D, Sacred Heart Sr. Sec School, Chandigarh

Power of nature

How loving and caring you are

Give birth to resources, look after and care for them

Just as parents care for their children

Your glimpse fills our heart with happiness

It refreshes our minds with calmness

But for the past few decades

Man has been degrading your beauty

And unceasingly using your yield for his needs

To fulfil has unending needs

This has led to global warming

This path which man has built for construction

Will only lead to own destruction

To care and protect your resources

Ought to be our prime most duty

This is the only way we can save this beauty
