Shortage of instructors hits flying club

While the ambitious plan of the civil aviation department to revive the aviation institutes in the state having hit roadblocks like the shortage of flying instructors and inadequate infrastructure as per international standards, the Karnal flying club has completed 1,320 flying hours against a target of 1,500 hours fixed by the department, with only one instructor.

Pinjore heritage fest opens today

Like the Suraj Kund craft mela, another annual event of the Haryana Tourism, the Pinjore heritage festival, too, has gained popularity within a short span of  three years. This year, the three-day Pinjore festival begins from tomorrow at the world-famous Yadavindra Gardens to celebrate the centuries-old heritage of the town, the history of which dates back to the days of the Mahabharata.

Now, advertisers would not be able to prop up publicity hoardings at pubic places without obtaining permission from the authorities in five districts i.e. Rohtak, Jhajjar, Sonepat, Karnal and Panipat, falling under the jurisdiction of the Rohtak range.
