History Channel brings the romance between young Prince Charles, heir to the British throne and Camilla Shand, Whatever Love Means on Monday at 9 pm on the History Channel. In a dramatisation of the love story, spanning the 1970s and ending on the eve of his marriage to Diana Spencer, it recreates the first meeting of the shy young prince with the Camilla. Their friendship grew but Camilla was considered unsuitable to be his wife. Camilla married on-off boyfriend Andrew Parker-Bowles, while Charles struggled to come to terms with his conflicting emotions, knowing that duty and country had to come first. Though Camilla did become his bride eventually. Terror in the skies On the Christmas Eve of 1999 an Indian Airlines flight IC 814 takes off from Kathmandu at 16.15 (IST) hours. Soon after five armed hijackers make Captain Saran divert the plane and head for Lahore. The Lahore airport authorities initially refuse it permit to land but later allow permission. The plane eventually reaches Kandahar. The hijackers demand release of 35 terrorists in Indian jails besides a ransom of $200 million for the release of 154 hostages putting the Indian government in a major dilemma. Nat Geo brings the tense drama on Tuesday at 9 pm as it follows IC-814 through its journey. The programme relives the days of terror when the Indian government succumbed to the hijackers’ demands in order to save innocent lives.
