Rhyme Time
Thank you, God

How I wish I could climb

the hills and feel the clouds

Where snow always lingers

And cold air likes to crowd

Or should I swim in the sea

With its almighty waves

Full of tropical fish

And undersea caves

May I camp in the forest

Bearing evergreen trees

Where the wind blows in my face

And gives me such ease

I look out of my window

And admire what I see

Then I realise

All that the Lord’s given me.

Pollution

Pollution here and there

It comes in many forms everywhere

It is causing havoc

Oh God, how is it going to stop

Owning a car for each is what makes one proud,

But can’t you hear the red

alert, clear and loud

The key to check this dread

Lies in knowledge spread

If you want our environment

to be pollution free,

We must all make a serious effort

and plant a tree

The rich have technology

thus, still prevented by this dread.

But think of the poor,

who face this naked dread

Water pollution is killing aquatic life

On land, pollution is making

animals cry

Crops die before they are

developed

Vegetables look dangerous

and weird

Let us all take a pledge

We’ll push away the monster of pollution from the edge
