THE reigning queen of kitsch Rakhi Sawant is all set to spice up things on the small screen. Though Rakhi is tight-lipped about the people behind the project or the channel that will be airing it, she seems all excited about the content of the talk show. "All I can tell you is that I will be hosting a Bollywood gossip-based show," says Rakhi. But this may not be your innocent-barbs-at-superstars kind of a show. Its USP lies in the fact that Rakhi will be doing the real behind-the-scenes masala stuff, which is likely to put to shade all sensational stuff published in film magazines. Rakhi confirms that she's already started shooting and has done a scorching promo for the talk show. Mean street thriller The Departed on Saturday at 9 p.m. on HBO, directed by Oscar-winner Martin Scorsese, is a cop-and-Mafia thriller. It follows mobsters and policemen on the streets of Boston. The film has won four Academy Awards in 2006, including Best Picture. At its core are two young cops-one a rising star of the force, who happens to be an informant for local mob boss Frank Costello; the other a hard-luck kid, who takes on the thankless and deadly job of going undercover to infiltrate Costello's organisation. Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson and Best Supporting Actor Oscar-nominee Mark Wahlberg head up the cast of this gripper that Variety terms as a 'juicy movie with a bloody streak. — NF
