Known for his sharp wit and swashbuckling personality and always hit with the young generations, Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, who was responsible for creating history by liberating Bangladesh, erstwhile East Pakistan, passed away last night at a military hospital in Wellington after prolonged illness.

The play, “Main Punjab Bolda Haan”, based on the epic “Panj Nadian Da Geet” (The song of five rivers), authored by noted Punjabi poet Harvinder, covered a vast canvas of more than 4,000-year history of Punjab.
