DSW dept to help ex-servicemen get jobs

The department of defence services welfare (DSW) would soon be performing an additional function of an ex-servicemen placement agency to assist retired defence personnel to get jobs in the corporate sector.

Loomba Trust helps widows’ kids study

The Loomba Trust organised the fourth International Widow Day at senior secondary school in Dhilwan in Kapurthala district. Speaking on the occasion, ADC (development) Kanwal Sher Singh Dhanju said the Loomba Trust had been helping the children of 4,000 widows in different parts of India by providing each of them Rs 500 per month for helping them in study.
