Super pride

The Serengeti, in northern Tanzania, sustains one of the biggest lion populations in Africa, approximately 3,500 lions in 300 prides. But this pride of lions, residing in the central Serengeti, is an exception. It has 22 lions in all. So they are a Super Pride. Nat Geo goes behind the scenes to explain what's so special about this super pride on June 22 at 8 pm. In fact few lion prides reach super pride status.
