What’s the reason for your lying low when it comes to making appearances in films?

For me, doing a film means I should feel deeply for the theme of the film. I’m always keen on doing roles that appeal to me. I have always tried to play different roles in all my films.

You are co-producing the first-ever reality show on filmmaking. Could you tell us more about that?

Gateway is a reality show which will conduct an intensive nationwide search for India’s promising new director. The big deal is that the winner will get a chance to direct a Hollywood film produced by Ashok Amritraj’s company Hyde Park Entertainment. We feel elated to be part of this show on the Indian screens.

What is your role in the co-production of the show?
We are a core team of four members who are involved with the production of the show. Gateway is being produced by Sony Pix in association with my company. I am to handle the back-end, the business of the show. Overall, it’s all of us who finally make the creative decisions related to the show.

What’s the scene at the modelling front? Would you make a comeback to the ramp?

I don’t think ramp is something I would do again the way I used to. But, modelling, yes, I still endorse select brands.

And what about directing a film?

To tell you the truth, I haven’t really given it a thought. And it is difficult to say with surety what happens in future.

At the moment, I’m enjoying my production and acting assignments, let’s see what’s coming next. TWF
