Season of remixes
Sunday (Eros International)

Looking at this CD you may feel intrigued that while it does mention the named of the director (Rohit Shetty), producer (Kumar Mangat) and even cinematographer (Aseem Bajaj), the names of the composer and the lyricist are conspicuous by their absence.

It is only when you go through the list of songs that you realise that this is not the creation of any particular composer but a compilation of songs by various artistes.

The title song (actually it is Missing Sunday) has been penned by Farhad Sajid for composer Sandeep Chowta and sung by Mahua Kamath, Suraj and Earl Edgar. It has been remixed by Tanay-Gaurav towards the end.

Pyaar to hona hi hai is by Kamran Bari and Mohammed Ali of Pakistani band Suroor. This, too, has been remixed by Tanay-Gaurav.

Loot liya has Daler Mehndi stamped all over it. It has been written by Daler along with Farhad Sajid; sung by Daler along with Sunidhi Chauhan and set to music by—who else—Daler Mehndi.

Shibani Kashyap is good as a singer as well as composer in Kashmakash that has been penned by Virag Mishra. The remix is by DJ Suketu.

The music of Manzar is distinctively reminiscent of a Michael Jackson hit. Not done, Raghav Sachar! It has been written by Aditya Dhar and sung by Mahua Kamath, Suraj and Earl Edgar.

The Sunday theme has been presented by Joy-Clint (music Amar Mohile).

Chamkan Taare (Mystica Music)

Anandmurti Gurumaa is a spiritual personality who has come out with albums of bhajans from different religions. The present album contains verses of Guru Granth Sahib that expound the philosophy, devotion, surrender and love for God. Man mereya, the opening shabad, exhorts the listener to look for God inside himself.

Others like Ram Syon kar preet, Chamkan Taare, Man Re and Vissar nahi Datar are also beacons for every seeker of the Truth.

These have been composed and sung by Gurumaa with music by Kanchman Babbar. — ASC
