The UK Government is working out a strategy to fight obesity. Overweight people could be offered cash to lose weight. When I told this to an unemployed youth, he said he wanted to go to the UK, "In any case I am losing weight due to poverty." I told him that the scheme was not for foreigners like "Come to the UK, lose weight and get money". Instead, the initiative was for British citizens who are getting fatter by the day. I feel the UK Government should adopt a scientific approach and take tips from India. First of all they should infuse red tapism in their system. Public should be made to run from one office to another for getting even a minor work done. If someone wants to buy or sell his house in London, it should be mandatory to take permission from some remote office in Birmingham. If someone wants to change the colour of their house in Surrey, it should be made mandatory for them to personally inform about it in a government office in Scotland. All public offices should be situated on or above the third floor and that too in a building without a lift. Government officers must be trained in the art of writing weird objections on the files. When people in the UK will have to make rounds of the offices for getting the objections removed, they will automatically shed weight. Once a baker asked a woman, "Madam, shall I cut the cake into six or 12 pieces." "No, cut it into four pieces only. I am on diet", replied the woman.
