Shahrukh Khan recently said he was not fit for politics because he was selfish, materialistic, capitalist and too good-looking.

If he is truly selfish, materialistic and capitalist, then perhaps he doesn’t realise that he is a perfect fit for politics. Maybe in his heart of hearts, he is sending out feelers so that some party could offer him a ticket.

I think when he attempted to take off his shirt to show off his six-pack abs, and developed muscles, he meant business. Political parties these days need not only stars, but also musclemen.

Shahrukh apologised on behalf of the film industry for caricaturing politicians. He suddenly felt that politicians were the most selfless class. Thank goodness, he didn’t appeal to the newspaper industry to apologise to the politicians on behalf of the cartoonists and caricaturists.

When he said that he was too good looking for a politician, did he mean Vinod Khanna, Sunil Dutt, Hema Malini and Dharam paaji have been ordinary looking persons?

I think he is confused in an attempt to define today’s politician. Instead it would have done him good if he had hired a scriptwriter or director to direct his speech.
