Lock-up love

A criminal came home after serving his jail term in Uttar Pradesh. His son clung around his leg and said, "Papa, aap hamare liye cellphone aur DVD player kyon nahin lekar aaye?"

He said, "But son, I am coming back from jail, not after holidaying in Singapore."

The son argued, "Don’t befool us Papa. I saw on TV that during the raids across jails in UP, everything from narcotics to cellphones, lighters, knives, and cash were found".

The father assured him, "I will get you some excellent gifts from jail in my next trip."

Two drug addicts were discussing where could they get some good quality morphine. One said, "If you really want good stuff, you should have some relatives in the jail. Luckily, my uncle is behind bars. We can try our luck there".

Said the other, "I think some of the jails could be converted into health resorts where politicians and criminals can relax, and spend time aloof from the worries of the world".

In Bhadohi jail, where a former MLA Udhay Singh was lodged, five unauthorised persons were found in the barrack in a raid. It’s too bad, the entry of the non-convicts and common people should be totally banned otherwise the jails would become commonplace.

One wouldn’t be surprised if some day a politician’s wife would insist, "Arre hamein bhi kabhi jail ghuman lao. Suna hai bahut mazen hote hain wahan"
