House that’s actually a power-house

Believe it or not, an electrical engineer in Indore has used a large number of electrical appliances, including a big transformer for his home’s interior decoration. Located in the Jawra compound in Indore, the house owned by Ramesh Aggarwal is an unusual attraction for every passerby.

At first sight it looks as if it is a power sub-station instead of somebody’s home.
The entry reads "440 volts", a danger sign.

Ramesh’s house has transformers encircled with electric wires placed at the base of the railing. Even the exteriors of the house have also been decorated with various electrical devices.
The ‘decorative’ items include circuit breakers, switches, dropout fuses, pin insulators, disk insulators, transformers, conductors, earthing plates, danger signs, cables, lightening arrestors, high tension poles, arcing horn and even transformers with ratings of 11,000 to 32,000 watts.

Having worked as a contractor for the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board for the last three decades, Ramesh has developed an unusual love for electricity. He also desires an electric cremation after his death, instead of the traditional cremation followed by the Hindus.

Initially, Ramesh’s peculiar creative expression shocked his neighbours, but they gradually started liking his craze for electrical apparatus.
