Comedy of errors: A scene from Twins

This one’s for movie buffs and is guaranteed to double your comedy fun. Twins on HBO (May 10 at 9 pm) is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first shot at comedy — something he was to take to heart through most of the nineties decade. His co-star is funny man Danny DeVito in the role of — believe it or not — his twin.

The story is about a medical experiment gone horribly wrong. In a bid to produce flawless twins what a researcher gets are Shwarzenegger and DeVito — the unlikeliest and loopiest twins ever to cut the cord. One grows up to be a perfect hunk and the other a 5-foot nothing, pot-bellied bald man wallowing in low life.

Separated at birth, the high society hulk and his scrimpy twin reunite to search for their long-lost mom. And what follows are surprises that will make your jaw drop with laughter.

Taking a cue from Balaji Telefilms, Jeete Hain Jiske Liiye from Monday to Thursday at 10.30 p.m on Sony Entertainment Television has taken a 20-year leap which sees the main protagonist Anjali in a new avatar.

The story sees Anjali coming back from jail to reclaim her children who believe she is dead, hunt for the real person behind the murder for which she was falsely implicated.

Will she manage to meet her kids? Will she find the real killer? Watch the drama unfold through the emotions of deceit, betrayal and a mother’s quest in winning back her children. — NF
