Rhyme Time
X-mas is here

Birth of Jesus Christ, was great surprise,

It gave Christianity, a good rise.

Many people adopted Christianity,

For welfare of humanity.

Christmas comes in month of December,

But people start decorating their homes in November.

People decorate Christmas trees,

And distribute gifts and sweets.

Christians go to church and pray,

On Christmas for the whole day.

People are eager to see a great sight,

As the church is decorated with balloons and lights.

Home alone

Why are winter holidays so long?

Winters — so cold, so sunny,

No work, no studies,

All play, play and play!

We had rain yesterday!

Papa, mummy go to work,

I feel lonely at home,

God! When will these holidays end

And I’ll go to school and enjoy!

The final day

I was just a seed,

When I entered this cruel world,

I wonder how simple was I like a rolling stone.

Couldn’t speak, couldn’t talk,

Would just rest on the soft bed

As I couldn’t even walk.

The days went and so the years passed

I grew older and the day I faced at last.

I was in a horrible stage of life,

Did I even know that I was standing

Near my own grave

I wish I could walk a little more.

Because there was a hospital nearby

Where my own siblings were suffering

From a fever which was high.

Oh! I forget I was a soul, and ran to His door.
