Banker’s check
Jaspal Bhatti

When Amar Singh, general secretary of the Samajwadi Party, applied for a loan to buy an imported car, the bank refused. He created a hue and cry about it but the bank said it didn’t have a policy to give loans to politicians. The bank might have thought that politicians are capable of financing money to the banks. So giving loans to them will be highly disrespectful.

Let us see when a netaji goes to a bank what could be the different possibilities. Firstly, it could be that the mantriji owns the bank and he’s there to chair a board meeting.

On second thoughts, the bank could have invited him to inaugurate the bank branch. The third possibility could be that the minister is there to rob the bank. I mean he’s there to get a huge loan that he’s likely never to return. To safeguard this kind of robbery, banks are not happy giving loans to politicians, policemen and lawyers.

I suggest that to take revenge on banks, these people can venture together to open a new bank for them. Not only would it be the richest bank but also the ‘cleanest’. There wouldn’t be danger of any scam as each would keep a check on one another.
