Rhyme Time
Girl child

This poem is of a girl,

who was as beautiful as a pearl.

Sweet was her nature, cute her name,

In the depths of my heart, she will always remain.

In her life there was no joy

She could not play with toy?

Why are girls thought inferior to boys?

Why can only boys play with beautiful toys?

She was always cursed by her mother,

And many a time beaten up by her brother.

I always saw her in tears,

She was not allowed to play with teddy bears.

She asked, "Is being a girl a crime?

For girls why parents do not have any time.

And one day she died,

leaving me alone and surprised.

She left me wondering

once again,

Is a girl’s life really in vain.

Boon of books

Books tell us about history,

Which is always full of mystery.

They can make our career,

so that we do not face in life any failure.

They show us the way and never say go away.

Books are an ocean of wisdom.

which makes us the master of kingdom.

Knowledge is as vast as the sky, bears.

Which gives us a new high

Books always show us the right end.

They are our true friend.
