Back to Beatles

A hand-painted psychedelic jacket made for former Beatle John Lennon in 1967, and a guitar played by his bandmate George Harrison will be put up for sale at an auction, slated to be held in London on November 30.

The two articles are expected to fetch about `A345,000 and `A3100,000 respectively, when they will be auctioned, reports the Mirror.

George owned the Maton MS500 Mastersound when the bands debut album Please, Please Me was released in 1963.

Lennon’s favourite grey shirt which he gave to a fan with whom he was locked in a bathroom, is also anticipated to be put up for sale, and it is expected to fetch more than `A38,000.

These items will be among 300 articles to be sold at the pop auction. — ANI
