However, if one’s thinking of stuffing it with costly furnishings, he’s likely to get disappointed as it sits on top of a dressmakers pin and measurers only 0.5mm. "The house is quite an advert for rising house prices," the Daily Mail quoted its creator Willard Wigan, the critically acclaimed artist, whose collectors include Elton John, Prince Charles and Mike Tyson, as saying. "I am sure the house will be a good advert for a building society looking to finance the `A320,000 mortgage for the smallest house in the world," the artist added. The house, that is a sculpture of the iconic Huf Haus, has four rooms on two levels, with each room being of microscopic size and detail, complete with a garden. In the past Willard, 49, has created a 2mm exact replica of the World Cup, a string quartet that fits in the eye of a needle and Henry VIII and three of his wives on a pinhead. But for Wigan the house, which is smaller than a full stop, is the most interesting and challenging piece that he has ever made. Willard Wigan’s work is being exhibited at the Grand Designs Live Show in Birmingham before it is housed at the city’s Art Lounge gallery. — ANI
