Rhyme Time
Cricket vs exams

Examinations are like a cricket match,

Candidate is the batsman.

Question paper the bowler.

Examiner is like an umpire,

The table is a pitch.

Marksheet the scoreboard.

Question is an over.

When caught copying,

You get caught out.

When you get caught with a chit in hand,

It is a run out.

To give a blank answer sheet is being clean bowled.

To fail is to lose,

To pass is to win.

Dear mother

Because of you I am here,

At every step of my life, you were there.

When you were near,

There was no fear.

When I was sad,

You made me glad.

You wiped off my every tear,

To me you are so dear.

You gave me the strength to stand,

When you tightly held my hand.

When I was about to fall,

You supported me like a wall.

When troubles came my way,

You helped me push them away.

In this world full of competition and race,

With your support every problem I could face.

Opportunities also came,

And with them came fame.

You had your own ways,

I still remember those days.

My soul you did bake,

To get this fruitful cake.
