Convergys Corporation has been conferred the HR Excellence Award by The Amity International Business School during its third Global HR Summit. Convergys was selected for the award after an in-depth study of 500 global companies, who had impacted the Indian economy. Convergys with over 11,000 employees, provides customer care, human resources, and billing services.

Aptech’s fee benefit offer

Air hostess training centre
Cloud9, a division of Bangalore-based Kairali Aviation (P) Limited, will be starting an Air Hostess and Hospitality Training Institute at Kochi from October first week. Addressing a press meet in Kochi recently, Capt Sasi Kumar, Managing Director, Cloud9, said the course will be of six-month duration at an affordable cost. The venture was being started in Kochi basically to train girls and boys from the state so that the young generation got an opportunity for a glamorous job in the booming aviation industry, he said. The six-month course was expected to cost around Rs 60,000. Cloud9 has plans to set up similar training centres at Bangalore, Mumbai and Kolkata in the near future. The first branch of Cloud9 has already started functioning at Jalandhar, Punjab, he said. The basic qualification for the training is plus two, he said, adding the candidate must have a minimum height of 5 ft 2 inches, besides communication skills.
