Ludhiana, September 1
Players of Green Land Senior Secondary School dominated the proceedings on the first day of the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Table Tennis Tournament for boys and girls (u-17 and u-19), which began today. More than 200 boys and girls from about 20 CBSE schools of Ludhiana and nearby areas are taking part in this two-day tournament.
The following are the results of the first day:
Girls (u-17) — Green Land School beat GGN School, Rose Garden, 3-0; Kundan Vidya Mandir School beat BCM Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, 3-0; and Alpine International School beat BCM School, Chandigarh road, 3-0.
Girls (u-19) — Alpine International School beat DAV Senior Secondary School, Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, 3-0; GPS School, Mandi Gobindgarh, beat Kundan Vidya Mandir School, 2-1; and BCM School, Shastri Nagar, blanked BCM School, Chandigarh road, 3-0.
Boys (u-17) — Green Land Senior Secondary School beat BCM School, Shastri Nagar 3-0; Kundan Vidya Mandir School prevailed over DAV School, Phillaur, 2-1; and BCM School, Dugri, scraped past Darshan Academy 2-1.
Boys (u-19) — Green Land School outplayed Darshan Academy 3-0; BCM School, Chandigarh road, beat CFC School 3-0 and Kundan Vidya Mandir School outclassed BCM School, Shasrti Nagar, 2-1.
