Nature’s fury

Ask people in Surat or Godhra or even in Mumbai. When water turns nasty, it transforms into one of the most fatal and deadly natural phenomenon on earth — flood.

Moving at great speeds floods can destroy what is in their path ripping the ground, pulling down houses and picking up mud and debris.

Watch Nature’s Fury: Floods on the National Geographic Channel on Friday August 25 at 10 p.m. The show captures on camera some of the worst devastation by floods that wash away cars and people, destroy crops and wreak havoc on entire regions.

Girl next door

As an actor, TV presenter and singer, Rajeshwari Sachdev has many strings to her bow, but it is for her evocative roles that she’s best known for.

But what is she doing playing a quintessential behenji? Well, Rajeshwari is the lead star of Ji Behenji on SAB TV every Monday at 8.30 p.m. a role, that she says is very different than what the title reflects. She is a typical middle class girl but with a difference. She is articulate, fearless and is ever ready to fight for a cause. She has her own set of values and principals and has the conviction to stand by them. The script is witty and amusing and Rajeshwari’s performance will put you in good humour.
