Bond book after 40 years

Forty years after 007’s last outing, he’ll be back once again saving the world in a new James Bond novel to mark the centenary of late author Ian Fleming’s birth.

Fleming’s estate has commissioned a “well-know and highly respected” author, whose identity will be kept a secret until the book is published, to write the 15th adventure of the suave British super agent.

Corinne Turner of Ian Fleming Publications Ltd said that the estate was delighted to have the new author on board to write the book.

“We are delighted to have secured this particular author who we have had in mind for some time now. He is the perfect writer for this project and we are greatly looking forward to his take on James Bond, in what we are convinced will be a stunning novel,” the Daily Mail quoted her, as saying.

Ian Fleming authored 14 books Bond books, beginning with Casino Royale in 1953 and ending with Octopussy and the Living Daylights that were was published posthumously in 1966, two years after his death. — ANI
