Rhyme TIME

Story of a pencil

The story of a pencil began on a stormy night of England in 1564,

When a large oak tree was uprooted in a scary cloud snore.

Lead pencils do not contain the metal lead,

But the name comes because lead was used for marking, before graphite came ahead.

Most graphite used in pencil is synthetic actually.

But some of them may have natural lead incidentally

As people die, I may also end,

But writing with me still remains a trend.

My inventer a German carpenter ‘Kasper Faber’ was a pioneer in working with wood.

And thus established the noted pencil firm of Faber Castell in his small hood.

The company still maintains a museum of pencils,

I love to teach children all writing skills.

Tiny -tots sharpen me and I end,

But writing with me still remains a trend.

True education

Maths is mysterious,

Algebra is tedious.

Squares are like a nightmare,

Mathematicians have brains which are rare.

Physics is teasy,

Biology is easy.

Chemistry is irritating,

And chemical reactions are nauseating.

Despite this, these subjects are taught,

Ill feelings are not caught.

Oh god ! Make another world,

Where people don’t fight with a sword.

Where human values are taught,

And love cannot be sold or bought.

May this life alter,

So there will be ‘no’ to slaughter.
