150 examined at eye camp

Ludhiana, July 16
More than 150 patients were examined and medicines were given to them free of cost at a free eye check- up camp organised jointly by Lions Club, Ludhiana, and Lord Mahavira Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital here today.

The camp was inaugurated by Lion I.S. Khurana, chairman, Sight First project of the club, while Dr Manju Gupta, an eminent ophthalmologist, examined the patients for eye ailments and sight problems.

Earlier, the chief guest, Mr Khurana, was accorded a warm welcome by Dr Ravinder Kochhar and Dr Rajinder K. Verma, president and secretary, respectively, of the club.

According to Dr Kochhar, from among the patients examined at the camp today, those in need of corrective surgery, would be operated upon free of cost on July 22.
