IF he plays a narcissistic and enigmatic lawyer in Sidhanth on Star One, in real life too Pawan Shankar is no less of an egoist. He says he is inundated with offers but hardly any catch his fancy. But he seems to have fallen for the role of Ajit Singh Gill an NRI who comes to Chandigarh for peace from his high pressure life in Canada in Aisa Des Hai Mera on Sony. The character he plays has been a farmer, a DJ and a sports coach who plays the flute. In Chandigarh, he meets Rusty who has come from the US, and falls in love with her. He also helps her find acceptance in her father’s family. "In Sidhanth and Aisa Des Hai Mera I have two of the best roles on TV. I couldn’t have asked for more." Not surprisingly he doesn’t want to commit himself further.
