Rhyme TIME
For my mother

My mother gave me birth,

She gave me the right to live on earth.

My mother cares for me,

And always does pray for me.

My mother’s blessings are always with me,

They keep me tension free.

My mother taught me how to play,

She shows me the right way.

From her I learnt how to talk,

She taught me how to walk.

I pray to God that she lives for 1000 years,

And wish her a life without tears.

May God give her good health,

She may have a life full of happiness and wealth.

Exam fear

Examinations come every year,

They bring with them a unique fear.

Students burn midnight oil and study the whole day,

To succeed, there is no other way.

They revise lessons with their friends,

Their discussion never ends.

They are full of tension,

They pray for God’s benison.

As they enter the examination hall, fear fills their hearts,

Till the question paper comes in their hands.

They attempt the questions to their best,

And do so hurriedly without any rest.

They are anxious to know the result of the test,

As they had studied hard without any rest.

On seeing the result, some become sad,

But those who get good marks are glad.
