Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Uttaranchal, at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Himachal Pradesh: Sundernagar 2, Uttaranchal: Tehri 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were largely above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in west Rajasthan, above normal in east Rajasthan, appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 46.1°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 14: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and east Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 14: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Thundery development accompanied with squall is likely in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 42°C.
