BNSM students excel in M.Sc (IT) exam

Ludhiana, May 2
The students of BNSM College of Technical Education, Alamgir have shown good performance in academics in the M.Sc (IT) exams held by PTU in December. Mandeep Kaur stood first in the exams by securing 82 per cent marks and Sukhwant Kaur stood second with 79 per cent marks while Harjinder Kaur came third with 75 per cent marks. All the students appearing in the M.Sc (IT) exam cleared it in the first division.

BCET students excel

According to the results declared today by the Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar for the Ist semester examination held in December, 2005, the students of Bhutta College of Engineering and Technology, Ludhiana, have shown excellent performance. Dilbagh Singh of Techanical Engineering has stood first by getting 552 marks of 650 marks. Joshin Anand of electronics and communication engineering has stood second by scoring 83 per cent marks and Lakhbir Singh of the same class has stood third by scoring 79 per cent marks, whereas the fourth, fifth and sixth positions were bagged by Harjeet Singh, Parteek Sharma and Sukhdeep kaur, respectively, who had scored 77 per cent, 76 per cent and 75 per cent marks. Principal, Dr A.S. Bansal appreciated the hard work put in by the students and their teachers and also congratulated them. OC

Boogie Woogie show

The city witnessed a grand extravaganza here last evening. The stage came alive with excitement and glitz when several students of The Footloose, an institute of art and fitness, performed at their annual function “Boogie Woogie and Fashion Show-2006”.

Appreciating the efforts of the children, the director of the institute, Mr Amit Verma, who is also an active member of the International Dance Council, CID, UNESCO, France said, “We aim at providing children with a healthy mind and body working in coordination with each other and these functions provide them a platform to exhibit their talent and help them gain confidence.”

Children from different age groups performed at the function. There were around 25 events which included dance on latest numbers, modelling, solo performances, group dances and fancy dress competition.

One of the students, Janavi, who gave an excellent performance, has been already been selected for a music album. Tanavi, another student, has been selected for music and dance show Kaboom.
