FILM and serial makers are making a beeline for Vastavikta, daughter of veteran actor Raj Kumar, to sign the dotted line. Vastavikta says she’s not ruling out television projects but films are her top priority. "The quality of the role comes first and the medium comes after that," she says. With a degree in Arts from New York, Vastavikta says, "I always wanted to be a star. I think it’s in my genes." She makes her debut with Karan Razdan’s supernatural thriller Eight where she plays a young London girl who loses her parents in an accident. "The script rocks. Every character is worked on with so much detail that it is absolutely flawless," she says. She adds, "I feel I am born to be in front of the camera and I am happy with my decision." If ‘Jaani’ were alive, he would have raised a toast to that. — NF |
