Rhyme Time
New promises

New Year is great,

As there is a party to celebrate.

New Year brings many expenses to bear,

But don’t get boggled with this fear.

Resolutions, I think,

Are just for two to three days,

After that, who cares.

Celebrations are all around,

Grief and sorrow are nowhere found.

Positive thinking and coming out of any delusion,

Should be a New Year resolution.

I wish all the readers a very Happy New Year,

May this year bring lots of happiness and cheer.

Mind games

One day I thought of explaining myself,

Each thought in my head,

Letting out each aspiration, each picture,

Each dream that was blue or red,

I had a thought of settling down,

I did so and at once, spoke it all,

Figuring all moments when I had risen,

Outlining the times when I had had a fall,

I thought of telling this to the world,

Narrating exactly what I am,

But oh! Why can’t I speak except when facing the mirror?

Where is my speech, oh damn!

A thought just surfaced in my mind,

The sun had shone but it rained,

This confusion in my mind,

Left everything ‘UNEXPLAINED’.
