Rhyme Time

Life of courage

Kalpana was not a dream but a star,

Who wanted to go miles afar.

Since childhood she longed to do research in space,

And that she fulfilled by God’s grace.

Beyond the stars she wanted to reach,

Great heights she did achieve.

The first Indian woman astronaut, she made history,

With her spirit, she solved a wonderful mystery.

The mission assigned to her was successfully completed,

In front of God, the human race had to be defeated.

When Columbia’s crash overlapped the great success,

The world went through distress.

She startled mankind twice,

In her death as well as when she was alive.

Quake loss

An earthquake can come anytime, anywhere,

Of this we should be aware.

It can destroy everything,

It is everybody’s king.

After it nothing remains,

Huge buildings turn into ruins.

Happiness is nowhere around,

It will uproot everything it has found.

It casts an evil spell,

It has its own will

I pray to God no earthquake should ever come again,

Game of wicket

Cricket, cricket, cricket,

It is a game of the wicket.

If the wicket falls

The batsman is at a loss.

But the bowler enjoys,

The coach has no choice.

But if the batsman hits a six,

Emotions are mixed.

The bowler cries,

The batsman takes the prize

I love to play cricket

And take a wicket.
