John Lennon’s son didn’t know his dad was a Beatle

The whole world knew John Lennon as a Beatle, but his son Sean Lennon was not aware of his father’s fame until his classmates told him that he was the son of the legendary musician. “John and I were very careful about not trying to influence Sean musically or telling him who we were.

Sean came home from school one day and said, ‘Daddy are you a Beatle?’ John had never mentioned it to him,” female first quoted Sean’s mother Yoko Ono as saying.

Yoko, however, expressed happiness that now her son knows everything about his parent’s music, and is quite obsessed with it. “But you know, now he knows every lick, every intro, every beat of the Beatles’ music, of John’s music, of my music. Privately that makes me very happy. I don’t know how he found out, but obviously he does some listening,” she said. — ANI
